Despite featuring some great work which went uncredited they went on to feature a bride standing in a car park standing against a pink background with guys throwing buckets of paint at her.
The whole tone of the feature was a disaster, it was dealt with in a superficial way and the credits rolled as the shoot took place.

One bride booked a paint-ball session and brought her photographer along to shoot the splats !
All of the brides interviewed claimed that the pictures from the "Trash Shoot" were much better than the formal pictures taken on the wedding day, this does not surprise me.
I was sorry to read that one bride booked a "Trash Shoot" because she was disappointed with her
wedding photographs, although this is not the ideal motivation for "trashing" it does provide couples with a second chance to create meaningful images.

I have to acknowledge that although Gloucestershire is very attractive it struggles when compared to the American beaches of California as a photographic lifestyle location and thats before we even mention the climate.
In true British tradition I will soldier on with this US idea for a little while longer. in the hope that dress trashing will become a part of the bridal culture in the UK while still
was interesting me it was the demise of these once such cherished possessions that I really
wanted to investigate, the results surprised me.
The most common answer to my question "what happened to your wedding dress?" was quite often the same "its wrapped in a large plastic bag in the loft !"... shocking!
Some brides had attempted to resell the dress although no one had actually sold one.
This took my investigation in a new direction the resale of wedding gowns. I started by looking
on ebay but I soon regretted clicking on to this site it was chocker block of gowns that had
escaped trashing that no one wanted not even the original owners as they were up for sale and very few bids were being made. This was a very sad sight.
Initially I had reservations about the "trash the dress" idea but having researched the demise
of what was once a garment that was more difficult to find than the holy grail, I realise that
the emotional attachment is usually the only obstacle that brides have to overcome
before becoming "TRASHERS".
I was also interested to hear that some of those asked would have loved to have trashed the dress if only they could fit into it!
Trashing the dress is a celebration of your dress and the emotions you have invested in it,
take the opportunity to create more memories by trashing before its to late.

  Comments

Where do I "Trash the Dress" ?

The short answer to that is anywhere !
Photographers up and down the UK will organise a "Trash" shoot on your behalf it all depends on what you want to achieve. A grungy urban look or something a little softer, beach or woodland settings can work quite well. Ultimately its all about your attitude the location although
important is almost secondary.

A trash shoot is a collaboration between bride and photographer working towards the same goals a major part of the shoot is the initial planning. Like your wedding photography with trashing
the photographer only gets one chance to get it right.

At www.paparazzistyle.co.uk we are offering Trash the Dress shoots with some of our wedding
services, we are also happy to shoot brides who have used other wedding photographers although
paparazzistyle wedding clients receive a complimentary trashing session. (It is not compulsory
although I think it should be!)

We are based in the South West of England and are prepared to travel despite being surrounded
with great locations for trashing.

Your dress will have cost a fortune, "trashing" enables you wear it again and have fun saying farewell to your dress with style.

I wonder what happens to all those bridal gowns that have been deprived of a decadent send off,
do they just fade away in lonely wardrobes being threatened by moths or charity shops until
they are finally disposed of. At Trash Me UK we hope not.

Your dress deserves better it was there for you on your big day, do the decent thing and trash
it with pride. You will never need it again. You will be left with great pictures and memories of two great days, your wedding and the "Trash your dress" photo-shoot.

photography import from America. It involves organising a photo-shoot some time after the wedding with the sole aim of producing great pictures that reflect the personality of the
bride without a great deal of respect for the dress (Trashing).
The level of trashing is up to you !
At paparazziStyle we start by creating images that make use of the unusual locations that seem to echo the spirit of dress trashing. The experience should be fun and is planned before the photo-shoot although a degree of serendipity plays a part.
The unique element of "trashing" is that unlike your wedding photographs the photographer
is not working within a a fixed time-line and your guests do not need to be considered. It is a much more relaxed situation for both bride and photographer. This has got to be the most fun you can have with your wedding dress on!
